HELICOFLEX® is a range of high performance metal seals with a very high sealing levels and exceptional spring back. An elastic metal seal, with the benefits of an elastomer and traditional metal seal, HELICOFLEX®is composed of a helical spring with ductile outer metal jackets which yield under compression to create a seal by filling flange imperfections and assuring face to face contact of the sealing surfaces. The helical spring has a specific compression resistance and provides an elastic force where each spring coil acts independently, insuring maximum sealing.

The E-Flex is an ‘E’ section metal seal – the sealing concept is based on the elastic deformation of a metal substrate which during the compression cycle gives contact points on each sealing surface. The substrate characteristics determine the compressive load of the seal. The load combined with an accurate compression rate results in a specific pressure which is directly related to the sealing level obtained.
E-Flex metal seals are designed to have a low loading and provide a high spring back performance for high temp applications.
