The Style 85 seal is similar to the P/S®-I seal in that it is a single or multi-lip seal in a single casing. Because each seal is machined, it can be manufactured in various sizes and configurations without special tooling requirements. Style 85 is o-ring mounted, so it can be installed and removed without damage.

Capabilities:

  • Maximum Pressure: 150 psi / 10 bar with cover plate; 75 psi / 5 bar without cover plate
  • Maximum Vacuum: Full vacuum with lip facing away from source
  • Temperature: -40°F / -40°C to 400°F / 204°C (Contact Garlock for temps over 400°F / 204°C)
  • Maximum Surface Speed: 700 fpm / 3.5 m/s dry; 1800 fpm / 9.1 m/s with lubrication
