Garlock Style 8003-H2 is a peroxide-cured EPDM gasket sheet material engineered for alkaline electrolyzers in the hydrogen industry. It delivers improved temperature capability, superior steam resistance, and better compression set than traditional sulfur-cured EPDM to provide exceptional performance. Manufactured without magnesium or calcium, 8003-H2 eliminates the risk of ionic contamination that can disrupt electrolytic membranes in hydrogen production systems.

Style 8003-H2 can be fabricated into cut, molded, or spliced gaskets for the flat-face, thin, and non-metallic flanges commonly found in alkaline electrolyzer systems and other caustic-handling applications. The formulation also provides excellent ozone, UV, and weather resistance, making it suitable for outdoor or environmental gasketing in broader industrial service. Multiple thickness and configuration options allow users to meet specific equipment tolerances and gasket performance requirements across hydrogen and other chlor-alkali process industries.

For applications requiring enhanced chemical resistance to harsh caustics, elevated temperatures beyond the EPDM range, or raised face flanges, consider GYLON® 3510, GYLON EPIX® 3510, or GYLON® 3545.

  • Overview
