Garlock’s hydraulic v-ring packing is constructed of custom-made rubber compounds and polymers shaped in our proprietary Chevron® design, to give you the best sealing and longest lasting products. SLUDGE-PAK® packing sets is a unique combination of Style 432 chevron packing, 8921-K braided packing and 9220 U-Seals. Ideal for use with vertical sludge pumps, this set minimizes friction and keeps abrasives out to reduce the risk of plunger scoring common with sets consisting of only braided packing. Available in over 1,000 sizes, this packing is commonly used in Carter, ITT Marlow, Komline Sanderson and Passavant vertical sludge pumps.
